Well, I just finished reading some of the deviants popular journals and the one that stuck out most was :murasaki-tori: journal about how people point out that you're a good drawer,then you say "awe thanks but not really" and then they shit on you.

I do that too. When someone says: "you're such a good drawer" Then I say: "Not really" Like I don't want to gloat on it because then they'll think that I think I'm the best (which I am not)
My step dad told me that we are our worst critics. Which is true because, we notice everything wrong that we do because we did it. We created the action, the situation, the mood, the art, the whole picture. We are only human.

I don't ask for attention when I show my work willingly to people. I'm just asking for advice (and of course it's a great confidence boost when people enjoy your work-no harm in enjoying that)

If a person judges you're work negatively like murasaki-tori's situation and they call themselves an artist then they are no better than the crapiest stick-man you could draw. Every picture has potential even without meaning. You put your emotions into your work, but even though others can't see it, you know it's there in every brush stroke, led tipped pencil line or your charcoal covered smudgy fingers. Only you can tell the story of your emotion in each picture you draw because you are the only master mind behind your creations and EVERY artist should know this-especially those who sell there art (people who sell their art obviously think they should get much much more money on the picture they made instead of the buyers request, but the artist has to agree with the buyer because the buyer doesn't know your story behind your creation, he just sees the out come of the picture. Which is too bad for both.

So, don't judge others with out knowing the WHOLE FRICKEN STORY!
